Entertaining but absolutely infuriating, completely shit coaching, and same issues haunting us.

Lack of tying guys up in front or in the slot only looked better than before because Quick played out of his skull. Another 3rd period lead lost, no moxie.

Special teams surprisingly broke even tonight, PK mostly due to Quick.

Another L with Kopitar over 20 minutes...just like the last few. 21:19 while Byfield got 8:28. Quinton Byfield, who was 80% CF and scoring chances for--and 100% of the high-danger while he was on the ice--only got one shift a minute or so after the Ranger last goal.

I'm done. We might make the playoffs but it's smoke and mirrors on the last gasps of dying vets. If you can't trust the kids to play halfway through the season, what are they gonna learn watching the vets get their teeth kicked in from the bench in the first round that they're not learning watching it right now?

Just do everyone a f***ing favor and send Byfield, Turcotte, Kupari, Moverare back down so they can play and just roll Grundstrom AA Andersson through, who f***ing cares at this point.
Time to play the youngsters more for sure

I’m not even upset about losing the game. I’m upset that Brown is getting doubled shifted when he’s gassed. I’m upset that Byfield gets one shift with quality wingers and gets chances, then gets benched. I’m upset our powerplay and pk suck donkey shit and there are zero changes. I’m upset that Kopitar is terrible all game and he starts OT.

in short, I’m upset our coaches are dimwits.

Why wasn't Byfield, with his speed, skill, and literally being the freshest player on the team, not in OT at all??? With speed like his he could smoke anyone with open ice.
King's archaic thought process of not giving young forwards lots of ice time.

I feel bad for you guys who are stuck with the Kings broadcast. Some nights there isn't much difference because a lot of teams have awful broadcasters as well. But not tonight listening to Rosen and Micheletti was a joy, just at another level better than our guys. Some might be mad though they praised Kopitar quite a bit.

They praised Kopitar because it’s the lazy thing to do for a crew that’s only seen him one other time this year. ESPN did the same thing a couple games ago. It’s because they can’t be bothered to realize it’s not 2014 anymore.

I seem to remember that at one point he had scored on 10 straight shootout goal attempts. Using that crazy wrist shot each time just below the crossbar.

Yup, I remember, same move every time.

Jarret Stoll was simultaneously the best shootout player and worst PP player in the NHL, that is hard to do.

Again, I really do miss him, he was entertaining. Something we kind of lack now.

They praised Byfield pre game as well. Talked about how the kings changed from 2012 to a more speed team. Top notch broadcast, makes Fox and Friends sound like a joke.

It's honestly crazy. The system is good, the personnel are deep and varied, if we only had halfway decent player decisions and a league average special teams, we'd be great.

It's the TM rep, man. Same thing in SJ. Put together a good system and a team that's mean on paper and just continually underachieve for a variety of reasons.

I'm just hoping the youth succeed in spite of it.

Well he did cash in during an actual game when he eliminated Vancouver on that wrist shot. Most of the time that shot hit the glass.

In beer leagues I used to take soccer penalty kicks like Stoll took the shootout. Only the one move, should didnt try to hide what he was doing, just trusted it to work.

And yes, I scored a lot during regular play, but mostly high and wide.

I watched him pretty closely. A couple of ok plays but he flubbed a lot and was stripped pretty easily a couple of times. Not judging him for his second game but he wasn’t looking great. Awesome goal in shootout tho. He’ll get there.

someone forgot to tell quickie it wasnt 2014 .. haha

Missed two thirds of the game but from what I saw thought we didn't play that bad. To come out with a point on the back end of a back to back I guess I'll take it. Anyways what can you say that hasn't already been said. This team has a long ways to go. It's just baffling that if your not going to play Turcotte and even Kupari just send them down so they get more playing time. What are these clowns doing. Just unbelievable.
