Not expecting a win but I too am expecting some harder play and some heart tonight.

They just wilted in all the hard areas vs San Jose and that was VERY disappointing, especially as it considered a pattern vs. divisional foes (see: Seattle, VGK games for reference).

You don't put 41 shots on goal without putting in some pretty good effort. Last night was more an off-night for Quick than anything else. You guys are dwelling way too hard on it....

Sure you can, with score effects and a million outside shots.

And it's not just SJS, it was the Seattle and VGK games as well.

Wouldnt mind a Kaliyev-Turcotte-Kupari line for a look. Have Brown play with Lizotte and Lemieux. Those two do a lot of work down low and Brown can hang around the the net where he is useful.

It hasn't even been 24 hours. I want them to show some heart today. In the next game. I don't think that's crazy, but YMMV.

Are you saying they managed to climb up to 2nd place in the division without showing any heart?

beating unimportant teams but losing to important ones seems like a pretty good case of playing gutless within the division

Yes getting curbstomped by the western teams is all good

We've had 6 stinkers all year....out of 39 games. I'm not losing sleep over it....or crying about it. All teams have the occasional down games, just ask two of the hottest teams in the league the last two weeks, PIT and NYR.

We are most likely going to lose tonight's game, you guys better start popping your Prozac now.

Well, 2 of them are within the last few games and vs. divisional opponents. No one needs a tissue or melatonin about it, its' just an observation about a bad pattern that we'd like to see start righting itself.

You are really grouping in the SEA game, a game that we won, into a 'stinker'. Jesus Christ, dude. Seriously, take a break from the keyboard.

The VGK game. But yeah, the Seattle game was a clunker even if a win also, and those are all divisional opponents. It's a pattern at this point.

No one is making as big a deal as you about this, it's a simple observation. Is it wrong?
