Brown's been quietly effective in his reduced minutes/role. Maybe TM will learn something about Kopitar there? Or is he just a sidekick to our true #1 player kempe? :naughty:

In a reduced role, Brown's still got something left in the tank. Third or fourth line, not against it.

Was expecting so much from Raymond with all the hype. Quite disappointing. Kaliyev looks better. Zadina and Rasmussen are unimpressive also. Kings prospects will be just fine. Zegras is probably the main reason for all our discomfort but hes the best rookie in years. Hes got the it factor and true game changing ability. But its still early to make definitive statements on these kids careers.
There is no doubt Zegras has great offensive skill. But before everyone anoints him the next great one consider this: He's last on the ducks in +/-. He sucks in the faceoff dot (41%) and he gets almost 80% offensive zone starts.

No way, he plays better the more he plays. Just keep him on the ice the whole game.

Kempe is going to be RFA - what do you pay him?

The thing is, as great as he has been this year, this is his first year where he's been consistently good. So I'm not sure the Kings want to commit too many years based on his previous seasons. I suspect maybe a 4 year deal close to 5 million.

Totally agree. He has the green light to be himself out there. I saw him make a drop pass at the blue line to nobody that led to a goal against. He was right back out after. Kings dont go about things that way. With that in mind he is such a talented player with the puck on his stick. You hear his name almost every shift hes out there.
