I say put Tkachev and Durzi on PP1 and see the best passing and movement on a King PP in the last 7-8 years. Tell the other 3 on the PP to be ready for a pass that no one else on the team would dare try, complete, let alone see.

Why? Our power play is at 16% this season! That's one goal every six power plays!

Would you guys believe that we've drawn the third-most power plays in the league? Only the Canucks (104) and the Avalanche (107) have drawn more penalties than us (102). At the opposite end of the spectrum, the Blue Jackets have drawn only 70 power plays.

Like, you sign this small, slight Russian scorer/PP specialist then wonder why he isn't checking well on the 4th line.

Reminds me of how they handled Kovalchuk. Sign him to be a power play specialist and a scoring threat, stick him on the 4th line and have him play in front of the net on the PP. At least we can't blame Todd for that one but it is similar.

Pretty crazy to think if the Kings scored 1 goal every 5 powerplays, and the Kings killed 4 of every 5 penalties, they would have scored 3 more goals and allowed 3 fewer against. That's a 6-goal swing.
