I know people say Sutter has a shelf life with teams. I would trade away an entire team to keep a guy like that. It's why I don't run anything I get shedding Lombardi, even though he brought Sutter in, I understand moving on from him. But keep Sutter for gods sake. I wasn't a fan at the time, and I never will be. He got us our first cup. You let that man coach until he quits.

But I digress lol....

A lot easier to fire the coach than trade players. Was pretty obvious Brown had just completely quit trying for a few seasons. Doughty also was talking like he was tired of playing for Sutter. Hard to find a player of Doughty's caliber. Easier to find a replacement coach.
