That lineup. I think the Reign could beat them, seriously. The Kings had certainly better.
Dvorak, OEL and Garland gone...Scmaltz injured.

Travis Boyd #1 center? 4th team in 3 years.

Kings should blow out the Yotes, but we’re likely going to see some AHL goalie stone us all night and witness the coming out party for some guy no one has ever heard of among NHL fans.

perfect game for durzi to make his debut, against the worst team in the league. cant be having that with our dinosaur coach

Nope, way more important to play Olli Maatta and 5 lefties putting people on their wrong sides and to rip RHD Durzi away from his AHL team facing their toughest divisional rival on a back-to-back.

It's tough at this point to tell whether these guys are trying too hard and outsmarting themselves or they're completely incompetent.

Wonder why Durzi (if rumor is true) not playing.. seems like the perfect game (weak team) to let him get a shot.. In other news looks like Kings are helping Vilardi develop on the wing in Ontario - which is a good call.. His faceoffs are not good and the Kings are jammed at center.

TM's job is not to put young guys in the lineup because it'll be more fun.
True. Its a hard to thing to balance at NHL level - you cant hurt your winning chances too much letting a player develop at his future position. I thought about why he has Kaliyev on the 4th line (because he sure could help offense being in top 6)... and watching Kaliyev play D, he was late several times covering the point..Im pretty sure thats the main reason. But I do think he should be on PP1 because his release is best on the team and defense responsibility is minimal.

Not that he didn't play a lot on the PP.

Time on PP2 is nothing like PP1 - where they usually get much more than a minute and gain entry with possession vs dump and chase

Kaliyev had 16 minutes of ice time, including 3:15 of PP time last game.

His OZ starts are 65%

You guys talk about the "4th line" and "3rd line" as if it's 1994. Things have changed.

Kaliyev is 17 games into his NHL career. He's being handled just fine.

So of the top 5 in PP minutes yesterday, who is he supposed to replace? Kopitar is Kopitar. Arvidsson is one of the big summer acquisitions brought in to score, Kempe is actually scoring, and Iafallo is scoring. Clague is your 1 d-man in case he has to skate backwards.

Arvidsson isnt scoring and Iafallo hasnt really been scoring on the powerplay so why not try something else and use a guy that is cut out for the role. Why you would defend these guys is wild. Do you really enjoy watching the powerplay?

And yet the PP has been the worst thing about this season. It's obviously not working despite who's "scoring" outside of the PP

Great GDT as always @kingsboy11 !!!

Ugh. Yotes. That's all I've got. We could get anything from the powerhouse team we've seen over the last few weeks to the full Willie D shitshow, you never know when the circus comes to town.

Agreed 100%. One of the most reliable GDT creators on HF & someone who was more than happy to share information with me whenever I’ve asked.

Some memes to express my appreciation:

I wouldn't be surprised if we lost this game. We've seen this before where we look like a better team on paper, but play down to our opponent. Might get ugly on this board if we get the L. Like someone said earlier Yotes are 2-1 in their last 3.

Crouse, Keller, Beagle and Fasching with the goals because Kings can’t stop Crouse or Keller and because it’s the most Kings thing to do to let a former prospect and a guy who hasn’t scored all year score against them.
