Checking in from the enemy. Not crazy at all. Backstrom the primary puck manager and Oshie the leader in ppg last season are out and have been. Backstrom hasn't played a game. Teams just stand a guy next to Ovechkin and stand a guy blocking Carlson's shooting lane and that really leaves nothing. Enjoy

Wow. Washington has Connor McMichael, a late first round pick from 2019, centering the second line? And they have a better record than the Kings?

I thought young players like Kaliyev (who went 8 picks later in the same draft) are supposed to be demoted to lern2grind?

I already dislike McMichael because I felt like Byfield should have had his role/minutes at the World Juniors last year.

Los Angeles have a PT% of just shy of 60% all-time vs the Capitals. That's their third best mark. They only have better showings against Columbus and Ottawa, historically.

And Turcotte went 20 picks higher than McMichael...and word was 2 years ago, the Kings were talking to Wisconsin coach Tony Granato about Turcotte's game a few times a week and Granato said "Turcotte could play in the NHL now"......2 years later? Turcotte needs to play in the AHL.

Only 6 draftees from picks 1-27 have yet to play an NHL game. Turcotte, being the highest

Caps played last night and the.kings are rested coming off the road trip. After Ovie, Kuzy,, Wilson, and Carlson the drop off in talent is steep for the opponent. This game is definitely winnable and two points would alleviate pressure going into the upcoming back to back.

Looks like Quick is starting so him versus Samsonov is a bit of a wild card. With a rested goalie the kings should be in position to start strong, but they still look fragile, so I guess we’ll see.

Turcotte should indeed be playing with the Kings. This is not debatable anymore if you think he’s going to be anything close to an impact player in this league.

Either Kings development staff don’t know what they’re doing, or Turcotte is going to be a huge disappointment.
