It's not just to win, but how you win. Is it smoke and mirrors or puck luck? The hallmark of good Kings teams have been good defense/goaltending, possession, face-offs and penalty kill. Defense = work in progress but improving and goaltending has been good. Possession = check - excellent shot differential and other metrics. Face-offs = check. Penalty Kill = to date, terrible and skews the goals against average hard. Much better during the streak, but long term fix that PK and the team starts looking like winning at a good clip is sustainable.

Yeah if the special teams were stable, even at average, this is a team with a few more wins and looking good for preseason expectations if not more.

It'll be tough shoring up the PK without Drew, but I trust we'll get a little more steady as the season moves along...all the other indicators DO look very strong to at least challenge like we had all hoped. Like I said elsewhere, 2010 Kings vibes going here...let's keep em rolling!

Preseason expectations are playoffs and the Kings are currently wild card 2. Right on target but I'd be happier with more wins.

Really hope we get a win tonight. Second of a back to back not going to expect much. If we lose so be it. But what happens after we lose is what I'd be concerned about. Win 5 lose 5 win 2 lose 4 etc. etc. These are the patterns that is so damn frustrating. Anyways, just win it for Danault.
