Relax

HF 4 pm trade deadline temp

2021 - picked up Hall 90% ecstatic
2020- 8-10 overall lead for President Trophy in good spot pre covid
2019- added Coyle & Johansson. Optimistic outlook
2018 / Can’t remember lol
2017 Nash - we got biggest fish till he got concussion and all she wrote but was was psyched

All 5 years they were entrenched and 4 we were happy and I can’t remember 2018

We got Nash in 2018. I completely forget what we got in 2017 though. Bruce Cassidy I suppose . Maybe John-Michael Liles.

Yes, but no bubble, long layoff before playoffs, shortened season, inter-division play etc etc.

Well its almost 3 months to the playoffs and a new sub variant is being tracked. Ill feel a lot better
about 3 weeks before the RS ends if things remain
at current trajectory.

But no Cups.

All for naught.

Stupid Sweeney.

If he kept all the pick no doubt B's would be the best team, on the verge of a dynasty.

According to CF, Montreal has $1.7 million in cap space for next season with 16 guys on the roster. Now that could jump up to around $9 million if Weber goes on LTIR again. If anything I'd think they'd be looking to shed salary.
Where you go if your GM? Anderson ?

he does not factor in long term I would think

I suspect they’ll be looking to move out Gallagher Anderson Petry etc. They’ll have plenty of cap space soon.

This trade deadline month should be something

Montreal going to be a blast to watch - Gorton running them brilliant. He gets Hughes, Marty and probably Vinny.

I’m him I would take a 2 and 3 for Chariot and run - go to Blues

he needs to dump Savard but going to be tough

Anderson also but he’s got value on ice next 3-4 years if healthy but he’s getting hurt in mid 20’s

would you deep DeBrusk for Anderson

you owe Anderson 5 years at 5.5 M snd probably 1-2 years second line RW till Lysell ready

Lysell being tried center in Vancouver but I think it’s a Giants move not Bruins

My heart wants Anderson my head says be careful but if we can move out and I know better to put Foligno here because he won’t go and Gorton won’t want

I wouldn't rule out Anderson, but he's 27yr old and while I think he's slightly overpaid he got that rare combination of size & skill. The 3-4 guys I'd look to move...

Gallagher - 29yrs old with a $6.5 million hit for the next 5yrs

Hoffman - 32yrs old with a $4.5 million hit for the next 2yrs

Petry - 34yrs old with a $6.25 million hit for the next 3yrs

Savard - 31yrs old with a $3.5 million hit the next 3yrs

The Nash deal set this team back. Sweeney seemed to way undervalue Lindgren. He’d be our 2nd best dman right now.
No way

You really need to read tarot cards in Salem during October

No one on this board wanted Lindgren more than me (I walked to car after 2016 Draft party as my daughter & @Alicat chatted away mumbling over and over the Bruins took Frederic over LaBerge & Lindgren)

This hurt being traded but they were loaded on left side in Boston and had Zboril & Lauzon and just drafted Vaakanainen

Bingo

Gallagher deal so bad and I love the player

Or they just overvalued guys like Zboril, Lauzon, Vaak. If you go back in the Nash trade thread, there weren't a lot of (if any) people complaining that Lindgren was part of the deal.

I was thrilled to get Nash but in watching Lingren I knew he would be a NHL dman. It’s also not any of our jobs to know the prospects value and potential. We can all watch and guess but Sweeney should really know what he has. Sure prospects can sometimes be over valued or under valued but that’s a long list of guys to over value for a professional GM.
