According to CF, Montreal has $1.7 million in cap space for next season with 16 guys on the roster. Now that could jump up to around $9 million if Weber goes on LTIR again. If anything I'd think they'd be looking to shed salary.

Where you go if your GM? Anderson ?

Only way I see the Habs trading Dvorak is if they get a bigger return than they gave up for him. It’s extremely unlikely and they would be in no rush to trade him since he has term.

Petry - 34yrs old with a $6.25 million hit for the next 3yrs

I just said Moore and Debrusk would have to be traded, not the pieces being moved for Anderson necessarily. Just from a cap compliant standpoint if we were also bringing in Hertl and/or Chychurn.

No one on this board wanted Lindgren more than me (I walked to car after 2016 Draft party as my daughter & @Alicat chatted away mumbling over and over the Bruins took Frederic over LaBerge & Lindgren)

This hurt being traded but they were loaded on left side in Boston and had Zboril & Lauzon and just drafted Vaakanainen

What problem is solved? Dvoark is a younger version of Coyle. Dvoark has also played 10 games since the start of December. He missed 7 games with an LBI and has missed MTL last 7 games with an UBI.

I was thrilled to get Nash but in watching Lingren I knew he would be a NHL dman. It’s also not any of our jobs to know the prospects value and potential. We can all watch and guess but Sweeney should really know what he has. Sure prospects can sometimes be over valued or under valued but that’s a long list of guys to over value for a professional GM.
