I am very much looking forward to this tournament With 9 players in it I will watch more game then I normally do.

Gonna be paying close attention for sure. Rooting for the U.S. but rooting for our individual prospects as well. Canada vs. U.S. right off the bat. Gonna be sick. The one weakness on the US team is I think Defense. Hoping they can contain the Canadian forwards. Canada and Russia will be very tough to beat.

Apparently the coaches have placed Turcotte as 3 LW and letting the older guys run the top lines. They haven't played a game yet but that's an interesting choice considering that he's one of their top centers.

Seriously. I read that somewhere on the main thread too. Who is our number one Center if not Turcotte? Third line left is a joke. But we'll see how that goes. Damn that game tomorrow is going to be insane. Hopefully.

First day of tournament you get Thomas and Dudas vs Kaliyev and Turcotte. And Fagemo and Bjornfot vs Kupari and Nousiainen. Don't get any better then that.

Big upset brewing on day 1 with the Czech Rep. leading 4-3 late in the 3rd.

And there it is, the home team wins, with the Russians going mental collapse with a bad penalty.

Kazakhstan made it a game with the Swiss, too, only losing 5-3.

I think people forget how tight it's often played between the top-8 or so countries. Everyone has a chance. Goalies are key in tourney play.

What do you want more, lots of goals from Dudas and Thomas, or a blow out for the USA? For me... country comes first in this tournament.
