I’m trying to blend players I know will be selected and who makes it a good team. Ginning falls in the former category.

imo Holtz and Raymond should be locks for WJC, but watch monten not select them in december for some stupid reason that they're too young. I still remember his Victor Soderstrom snub. (at that point Victor was a top4 D in SHL)

Costmar is a C, Gunler is not. Pretty useless to compare those two players then.

But i agree, its weird to not take Gunler.

I mean the offense at the summer tournament were terrible. Not sure why gunler isnt being tested at all.

No Jonathan Berggren in WJC. Bummer. 10 points in 7 games at U18 WJC two years ago. Luckily we might replace him with Gunler if he wasn't in the picture!

So was Cronholm at the WJSS all show? I watched some of the games and while I didn't notice him (which for a defense-first d-man, I usually prefer) but at the same time, I had the feeling he was more there as a placeholder than competing for a U20 roster spot.

IIRC he only played against Finland.

Boqvist will not make the NHL this year, we will see him at the WJC.

(Just my impression from catching him in preseason)

Luckily we have very good replacements for them this year. I'm a lot more worried about the lack of scorers up front.
