Yup, same. I think at least of the original ones (4-6 or whatever?) I think I have an idea of what happens. I've seen the cartoon shows doing spoofs of them. I also played video games as a kid and learned all the characters and stuff. The "new" ones I don't know anything about.

There are things I can get into like 'The Wire' or 'Breaking Bad' and I like documentaries too. Special effects or animated movies don't usually do much for me though.

Great point. DeAngelo is a great team guy and will certainly stand up for his teammates, but he is not what is referred to as being hard to play against.

That said, I really like this pick. Have read some interesting stuff here along with the videos of how he plays and the sort of person he is.

Can see him being a solid 20/20 guys with 100 PIM potential. Solid player that will address any BS while on the ice with some of our more skilled guys like AL, KK, FC and VK

probably mature to 6'4" and 215 playing weight. That's a big boy that enjoys the rough and tumble aspect of the game.

Come on. This is not what is being discussed and you know it.

Want to discuss if I think that DeAngelo should have a future here? Sure. But the discussion turned to becoming a team that is hard to play against. And someone lumped in DeAngelo as an example. The rejoinder was that there is a difference between dropping the gloves and what is referred to as being hard to play against. That is all.

As would I. But I think that we all know that in the short term, one of Strome, Buchnevich or DeAngelo will not be here. In the medium term, two of them are gone. In the long, maybe all 3.

We know that all 3 names are not off the tables when it comes to trade talks. Personally, I am with you. Warts and all, I would rather keep him. My view all along was that it is far easier to find DeAngelo a steady defensive partner than it is to find another DeAngelo. But I also think that whether or not he is being resigned or traded rests with what his contract demands are.

That wasn't my intention. DeAngelo doesn't need to be gritty and hard to play against to go along with his production. I was just making the point that while he's feisty he's not "hard to play against" and wouldn't fit that criteria if a team is looking for it

The Last Jedi is hands down the worst IMO. The entire series was based on the Skywalkers and they made Luke into an ass, then had some crazy casino place for 45 minutes that had zero impact on the story...

I just hope Lemieux doesn’t price himself out of here. He needs to know his value. He’s a 4th liner, and it’s becoming less and less likely he produces more than 25 points a season. I’ve soured on him and his offensive potential. Don’t think it’s gonna come. Combine that with poor defense, terrible conditioning, very low skill, and hurting the team by taking tons of penalties, and he’s not the player that I thought he could be. Hopefully he erupts out of nowhere and I’m wrong. Or that Cuylle can become a better version of him.

Thank you. I don’t want to continue the topic on this thread, but people really are taking ADA’s production for granted because, “we have Fox and Trouba.” Eh. Tony’s the most skilled and most dynamic, and that’s important to a team. People really acting like trading him is no big deal. And somehow, Tony’s game is always under a microscope. I mean, if he doesn’t do everything right, he’s only a “PP specialist 3rd pairing D.”
