Last season is last season. Giants have been competitive in 3 of their 4 games despite all the shit they are dealing with.

They'll figure out a way to win 4 games somehow someway.

Jets won't...2 tops!

oh blah blah blah. You weren’t even aware how unsuccessful the Giants have been vs Philly for 12 years. One thing the self absorbed Jets fans all have in common, they have no idea who even plays on the Giants. :)

I live here near Philly. I know all there is to know. Doing fantasy for 22 years also helps me stay in the loop with all the teams. So please don't patronize me.

I don't give a crap if Philly has the Giants #....the Eagle aren't that good this year. Giants can beat them. Giants can certainly beat the Skins once if not twice. And I'd not be shocked if Giants figured out a way to beat a team they aren't supposed to beat oh like say a Cowboy team.

We'll see what happens hoss. If you'd like seeing you say the Gmen will win 2 and I say they'll win 4....let's have friendly $20 bet on this. We'll make 3 wins a push....deal?

Philly just went into San Fran & beat them while that same Niners team came east & embarrassed the Giants.

I get that but this is football. How many times over the years have crappy teams beaten teams they shouldn't "on paper" beat? Didn't the crap ass Bills a few years ago as 17 or was it 19 point underdogs beat the Vikings in Minny and bust hundreds of thousands of survivor pools?

I mean seriously it's too numerous to name as the list is in the hundreds. Both the Jets and Giants will win some games this year "by accident". And it wouldn't shock me if either of the two won a game they have no business winning. Jets beating the Cowboys last year is a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

Matter of fact I'm scared the Jets will win a meaningless game later part of this year which will cost them the #1 overall.

Jets fans need to fly a banner. Chiefs fans flew a Save Our Chiefs banner over Arrowhead 8 years ago today and look at us now! Foolproof evidence that it works

You continue to be the eternal optimist on this board. These rosters combined aren't winning 4 games.

Reality + Fantasy = Knowledge...period end of story!

Ok we gotta deal or not hoss?

ugh, you Jets fans. You’re all da same. Everything is a compex adventure. Noting dis EZ. I make this look EZ for 30 years!!

Ummm...OK so me picking the Jets to win 2 games tops and the Giants 4 makes me an "internal optimist"?

Gotta admit, that's pretty funny Zubie and sad at same time that one can be considered and optimist picking both teams to go 6-26 combined....lol

Pretty funny clip. Dare I say I almost miss Mikey especially those "stellar" picks of his NFL Friday in the "league where they play......for pay!"

That would be typical Giant luck. The division being so damn awful that they end up 6-9 going into the last game of the season with a chance to win the division. Somehow they score the only touchdown of the game so far to go up 13-9 with a minute and a half to go, only to have a ridiculous defensive PI go against them for a 54 yard penalty, and then give up a TD on the last play of the game to lose 15-13.

It wasn't meant to be a knock, as your posts are usually slanted with a glass half full/positive POV. A month or two before the NFL season started you had a post talking about your confidence in Joe Douglas to lead the Jets to the Super Bowl within 5 years. I didn't agree with you then & I still don't see it, but I always respect your optimism.

And yes, it's absolutely hilarious that we're debating the combined win totals of both NY football teams reaching 6. It's a pathetic time to be a fan of either of these teams, but at least we have the Rangers...there's no debating if they're on the upswing.

Didn't take your comments as a knock...all good. And just to clarify, yes I have faith and confidence in Douglass to fix this mess but didn't say SB title I don't believe within 5 years. I may have been drinking that night if I did....lol

What I believe I did say was that within 5 years, the Jets should be good enough to compete for division titles and be in the playoff mix on a consistent basis due to the moves Douglass had made.

Regardless, this might be the worst era of NY football at least in my lifetime and I'm sure yours seeing your likely younger than me as I go back to John Riggins 1971 Jets. Just pathetic....uggggg

You didn't say Super Bowl title, but you mentioned something about competing seriously within 5 years. It was late at night, so booze was probably involved. LOL.

My first vivid memories of NY football would be the '81 season when the Jets & the Giants both made the playoffs for the first time in a long time. LT was a rookie & the Sack Exchange was dominant. The Jets lost a heartbreaker to the Bills in the wild card game. Giants beat the Eagles in the wild card & then hung around for 3 qtrs against the Niners who were on the way to their 1st SB. I was 10 at that point... before that I was strictly a baseball fan. My dad wasn't into sports, so I discovered them one at a time on my own. I recall rooting for the Rangers in the '79 Finals, but the obsession didn't come until 2-3 years later.

So we are about 10 years or so apart but old enough to recall that once upon a time there we actually good times with both the Jets and Giants at same time.

Funny you bring up that '81 WC game vs the Bills. I was at that game. My buddy and I were on Xmas break from SUNY Brockport where we went to school. He got tickets for us however due to massive traffic jam and it being a shitty rainy day, we didn't get into our seats at Shea until mid way thru the 1st quarter.

When we looked up at the scoreboard, the Bills were already up 24- Zip...totally f'd up!. The rest of the game the Jets behind Richard Todd and the Sack Exchange played catchup and came back hugely and actually had the ball at Bills 15 or so down 31-27 with a chance to win with 15 seconds left but alas as Todd was known for, he threw an ill timed INT in the end zone and the Jets hopes were dashed.

But those were some good times for the Jets and the Giants. It would be really nice if both could be good again at same time in our lifetimes.

Not holding my breath for that too occur anytime soon....lol But like you said...we at least have our Rangers...thank the good lord for that!

Anything less important than watching a giants game at this point?

coming from someone who lived in Boston for 07 and 11 when it was glorious.

They might have figured out a way to not lose this weekend.

and the Jets are penalized and lose their #1 pick . . . and the Giants pass on Lawrence while Gettleman never picks up the ringing phone.

Once again Tom Brady shows what an unclassy sore loser bitch he is. Couldn't even shake or fist bump Sir Nick Foles hand last night after last night's Bears win over the Bucs, as once again just like in 2018 in a slightly more important game, good ole awe shucks Nicky showed Tom who is Daddy is....hmmm....

Seeing Brady all pissed off, sacked a ton of times, yelling at his teamates like the whiney bitch he is, just never gets old. It unfortunately doesn't happen enough for my liking. Last night will have to do for now...lol

After what happened with Mahomes and Gilmore I don't blame him.
