Which begs the question. Did she bother to contact any of the junior teams who gave him a roster spot, or UND who gave him a scholarship. Or was is just because being drafted by a major pro sports franchise was too much to handle??
One of these has a much bigger impact on the kids life than the others...I think it's the one that doles out millions in dollars, but I could be wrong.
Well, the mother is extremely upset and rightly so. It seems as though she’s so upset that she can’t let this go and I believe she could be embellishing.
And now, it seems that the parents of the victim can't let it go. Does she feel guilt? Self pity? It seems she has so much hatred built up for Miller that she will stop at nothing. She is not thinking how this could damage her family for years.

Shouldn't matter.
What it gets down to is.... she's still pissed she didn't get an apology to her liking so she decides to do nothing and wait until he gets a life altering chance at success and tosses a hand grenade in.
That's not standing up for her adopted son. That's revenge.
I don't think I've ever been more embarrassed to be a Coyotes fan.
According to news reports Isaiah wrote her a message about his feelings when he saw Miller getting drafted and promoted as something he's never been.
Except he's not the one embarrassing the rest of us with troglodyte takes like yours and Jake's...You know where the door is.
The f*** up still belongs to the Coyotes, even if Miller does notShould this thread not be moved to the KHL page at this point?

Yup, she wants to be heard. BLM. Flame away. Fortunately, this has never happened in our family, but I find it hard to believe that the parents of these kids did not see some signs of problems. And now, it seems that the parents of the victim can't let it go. Does she feel guilt? Self pity? It seems she has so much hatred built up for Miller that she will stop at nothing. This is just politics now. Let’s not talk about BLM or AntiFa or Proud Boys or Boog Boys Republicans or Democrats or Nationalists or Socialists.I love how consistently you throw "BLM" in your posts to show your true colors. Which truck was yours in the Trump Train down I-17 on Saturday?
Hate to break it to you, but you can remove the racial slur part of this incident and the race of the victim(Miller isn't the victim, FYI) and this is still horrific.
P.S. They do matter. Black lives do matter, even if you don't want them to.
My apologies, I thought I was free to speculate here and provide possibilities that differ from the lynch mob mentality. You both really, really need to provide evidence of these assertions. Like ASAP.

Only a goofball would somehow assume I did.So just to be clear, you don’t have evidence of the “possibility” you put forward?

Man oh man. This topic is getting goofy. TL is a great mod! And a very good poster! XX and Fuhrious are my two favorite guys to argue with because they're smarter than me, and tougher than me, but they don't rub it in - lol! I think this is too sensitive a subject. TL wasn't even really attacking JMC. He was wondering aloud and supposing stuff. When it came out that she spoke up because her kid had to relive everything with the draft hype, TL literally said nevermind all that, and said he now understood. He moved past it when he got more info that helped it click in his mind.
We all can't come to the same realizations at the same time. We all process information differently based on our own experience and biases. There's no chance any of us love bullies and hate victims, right? So there aren't bad-guys here. Just guys trying to figure stuff out and look at information from different angles.

I also think it was cowardly for UND to revoke his athletic opportunity. I think that’s 10x worse than what the Coyotes did. Much, much more pathetic. And I do feel a little bad for Miller on that one. I guess that’s where my line is. I think UND set a terrible precedent and showed they don’t actually care about the young people in their care.
I’ve spoken to three current head scouts and one retired and not one of them would have picked Miller in the draft solely because of Miller’s past. One of them said he really dug in on Miller and spent hours of his time on calls with coaches and teammates who all had glowing things to say about the player. But he also interviewed Miller on more than one occasion specifically about the incident and that’s when he made the determination that Miller would be taken off their draft list. “I didn’t get the feeling there was remorse,” he said. “Now I’m not saying he’s a sociopath or psychopath, but basically he said, ‘Yeah, I did it. It was stupid, it was wrong.’ But it was more than that and you wanted to him say that he realized it was more than that.”
