There ya go, ya height freaks.
Already a fan, takes guts to hit a guy at that weight disadvantage
There ya go, ya height freaks.
Seems like the Leafs are taking a lot of guys that many public draft boards have way higher but slipped.
Is our scouting team miles ahead of everyone else, is there an issue with Euro players this year, or are we missing some gaping flaws on these guys?
Brother I think you just gave him his new nicknameCan we nickname him Sloppi Topi?
DoneCan we nickname him Sloppi Topi?
Do you have any insight as to why he dropped 20 spots?I really like this pick.
Watched the DraftDynasty analysis of him a month ago and was impressed.
Nothing really top end but solid all around, smart and plays with necessary intensity.
Needs to get a bit stronger.
Reminds me of Stralman lite a bit.
Funny thing is mynhldraft actually had us taking him in the 2nd round at #44.
That trade down looks tremendous. We select a guy at #64 that not many would have had a huge issue if he was selected #44.

Fair enoughNone at all.
Good prospects always drop in every single draft tho.
I'm no expert just like everyone else on this board.
I haven’t watched these players that closely but isn’t Schneider a lot better than Niemela? So we took a player who looks like a steal and should have gone in ealy 2nd (Hirvonen) + a RHD who's comparable to Schneider for Kleven.
LOL
fire Dubas indeed.
It’s settledBrother I think you just gave him his new nickname
hopefully Sloppi makes the Leafs sometime down the road![]()
and if he's 5'11" it's a bad pick? what difference does an inch make?If he actually is 6'0 then it's a decent pick.

Toni, Kokko, Topi and maybe (Unlikely) Lopponen.
Judging from his junior stats it would probably be a good idea for them to take him.I'd say Miettinen has a shot as well being a late 2001.
forgot him hahaI'd say Miettinen has a shot as well being a late 2001.
Don't let the size fool you. Such a small size he can defend well and hardly lose 1on1 battles.
His hockey IQ is top notch. Reason why you see him one step ahead of others and always right place, noting he isnt the fastest guy in the ice. Positional awareness and flow the game. He always finds away to be open and creates room for others.
Weakness is power of shot, but he has ability to find away hit the net, tho it hasnt showed at produce wise yet. Skating needs work.
You cant teach hockey IQ, but you improve your skating and strength.
You guys picked gem on 3rd round.
Hard to predict when he could be ready for NA, but if he has already played vs men and manage to handle it, I don't see it should take year(s) him to transit to NHL level.
Sad Blues fan, but happy for you guys.
