Forwards are sucking on their own too don't get me wrong but this is what happens when you can't retrieve OR move the puck, complete disconnect.

There's been too many games like this this season. We're almost 1/5th of the way through the season and they really aren't improving. I know losing 2 right handed defenseman is tough, but even when we had those 2 healthy we were still getting shelled. This team thinks they're a playoff team, or at least they said they want to make the playoffs, and playoff teams don't keep making the same mistakes and they don't have enough time turn it around if we keep getting these kind of results.

I don't think I've yet seen 40 minutes of play with so many awful defensive zone turnovers by way of carelessness or lack of basic fundamentals. Up the gut pickoffs, lost board battles, blind bullshit passes to nobody, YUCK. I haven't seen the team play this bad since 16/17. They should be grateful there aren't fans in the building tonight because the boo birds would certainly be out.

On the other hand think about how frustrated the Ducks must be they haven't put this game away already. Cal keeping the Kings in this somehow, maybe they can dig deep enough in the 3rd to get a point or two out of this debacle.

Ducks are the worst offense in the league. Petersen has been fine but let’s not pretend he’s had to be Jacques Plante.
