The Forwards have much more experience than the Defense, Jim. If you want the Kings to slow the game down then the Forwards should be attacking more rather than putting a ton of pressure on the defense to collapse successfully.

Collapse defense hockey works much less as time goes by since teams get faster and faster. It's easy to build momentum and tire out a collapsing team into a goal. Especially defenses that have little NHL experience.
