Apparently so does losing. There aren't many teams doing what the Sharks did either.

Well sure, it's impressive to be that good for that long, and it's good for the owner's pockets, too. No one is saying that's 'bad', only that winning > not winning and that being good but not winning is preferable to this monkey football humping show that we're currently watching.

guaran-f***ing-tee you any Sharks fan would trade 10-years of that run of 'success' for one Cup.

And Clague looks better than the highlier touted Mikey Anderson. They both will get better. Took us a long time to embrace Walker and Roy.

Anderson looks a little shell shocked right now, wish we could tone down his minutes.

Clague looks fantastic but I wouldn't move him up or down, he seems to be thriving right there on the 2nd pairing, just need Roy back.

But both certainly look to be pretty damn good players.

Oh well I guess that old saying goes it can only go up from here. Except looks like our Kings are going to be here for awhile. Better days are ahead.....in like 10 years but hey we got the Reign tomorrow.

Going back and look at the the video of Brown, he get blindsided inside the blueline and drew the penalty right before he scored. He probably got hurt there. That exact play has been called a major before and I wonder if the league will look at that .

To me it looked like two guys just turning into eachother at the wrong time and Brown got the worst of it.

Look at the bright side - there's only 46 more games to go!

When does the 'COWER4POWER' or 'LOWER4POWER' mantra begin? Too bad lower and power don't rhyme...and too bad the Kings are heading this way...but I'll take Power.

I'm on record here for first cower4power as far as I know. Have not seen it.
The day Honda was took over Arrowhead Pond...I said it's PONDA.
I forgot to save that, as I was first with that. It was the first day, Honda
was named for the arena.

What's going on with McD? He's been pinching like crazy the last 2 games and consistently getting caught.
And that's directly led to at least 3-4 goals.
Somebody tell him he's not Paul Coffey.

I fell asleep half way through the 1st period. I hope they showed some of the 'compete' and 'effort' TMac said they worked on in practice in the rest of the game cause I didn't see any in the first 10 mins.

So looking at the stats for the Kings I definitely saw some worrisome stuff. Teams top 2 scorers are Kopitar and Brown. Carter has 1 goal. Vilardi has the same amount of points as Moore and Vilardi has only 1 shot more than McDermid.

This team is a one line team, but that line has 2 guys in their mid 30s.

Only D to score have been Doughty and McDermid.

Secondary scoring needs to come from somewhere.

There is a lack of perspective guys...

This team was never in the play-off hunt, not without some other teams falling way below their expected levels. This year is about development of our new core and understanding what we have. What happens in Ontario is far more important, far more.

I think everybody understands the skill and ability down there, but look at the character and leadership. Turcotte, Björnfot, Byfield, Thomas, Madden... all 5 could be future Captain of this team. There’s possibly a couple more I’m not aware of also. Those guys will bring an instant change in not just the skill, but culture for this team. By the end of the season I’d bet they’ve all a few games in the NHL and by the end of 21\22 they will all be full time Kings. When it comes this is going to change quickly. It’s why I like that they are keeping Kalyev down there with them currently... they are the core he is part of, not the place holders in the current Kings lineup.

People need to also think about how they judge Vilardi. Not only is he a Rookie but he’s missed a huge amount of hockey over the last few years. This season he needs to focus on finding his game again and it’s going to take time. They aren’t using him as the 2C and that’s probably the right thing, especially as he’s currently trying to get through his first injury free season in... who knows how long? The fact he’s doing as well as he is with the game time he has missed is testament to the skill and character he has. He will be fine... better than fine.

Kings, Ottawa, and Detroit. That’s a familiar sight.

Next year will be an influx of talent. It will still take time to right the ship.

This year is done already unless they can miraculously go on some 15-0 run.

I hope they can trade Carter. Hell I’d love to see Quick on a team like Colorado.
