Immediate two period overractions:
Maatta is a hell of a lot more mobile and engaged than I remember
Bless his childlike physique, that poor Lizotte is going to be pulverized on a nightly basis
Not too worried about defenders getting a bit danced this early, it takes a little time to get up to speed
... but that Clague fellow may have the shallowest sphere of influence I have seen
Mark Alt seems perfectly competent, which begs the question - is he a career AHLer just because he is too facially unfortunate for national TV? I think its in the TV contract that they can occasionally veto a player based on the good of the viewing audience. Its the Tim Hunter clause.

Vilardi is getting those Byfield WJC minutes
Athanasiou is kind of what I expect out of Chromiak if he makes it. Light as air away from the puck, then suddenly dialed in on attack
