I never understand why these, 3-6th string goalies pay what I can assume is decent money to get a mask painted for the NHL team, as well as the team they actually play on, when in most cases they never sniff the NHL.
They're not that expensive. Under $1500 for the most part, and you can get a paint job for as low as $150. Daveart.com has a place where you can apply to get your mask painted and you choose the budget. The selectable budgets for Daveart are between $1500 and $2500.Is a paint job really that expensive? Maybe to an everyday person it's a bit steep, but I cant imagine a custom paint job costing an arm n a leg, even to someone on a minor league wage.

Sounds like they are also implying that Price may be making some equipment changes for next season as well. Away from CCM perhaps?
New setup for Rinne:
I’ve got one with Ray Bishop right now that will be $1500 all said and done. That’s on the high end of what he offers I believe. It’s very similar to a NHL job he did so I don’t think he goes up much from there. Is a paint job really that expensive? This is they a good year to have 3-6 goalies. NHL is making every team carry at least 3. Time to mask up...
