Speaking of faceoffs, that must have Jack Eichel has been absolutely brutal in his career on the dot (44.2%). Sure he looks good this year (53.24%) do did he finally figure it out or is it just a small sample size anomaly? His faceoff percentage is actually pretty good, especially for a rookie. He's currently at 48.3%, with 102 wins and 109 losses. But he had one game where he went 2-for-15 against the Blues. If you remove that brutal outlier, he's at 100 wins and 96 losses, better than 50%. Faceoffs are an area where he needs to improve to be sure, but some guys like Carter and Andersson are at 43% and 35% respectively. Over Vilardi's last 10 games, he's 62/118, or 52.5%.

I wonder how much of that was Stoll helping with him faceoffs. He had to be a factorAlso worth pointing out that Kopitar was a sub-50% faceoff guy for the first five seasons of his career. It wasn't until he was 24 that he moved into the positive and he never looked back. Since 2011-12, he's averaged 53.7% on faceoffs. Over he past four seasons, he's averaging 54.7%. That's pretty wild.
