Prospect Info: 2020-21 Blackhawks' Rookies

Who is going to lead the PP a few years from now: Boqvist or Beaudin? Do you guys think Beaudin is a sure NHLer or are there serious question marks with his size and defensive abilities?

Beaudin is a sure fire top 4 defenseman if this season is any indication of his trajectory as a player...He's taken a massive leap since last year as far as his development...A year ago he wasn't really in the conversation as possibly the best of the 3 (Boqvist, Mitchell, NB) but now it's not so clear who has the highest upside as Beaudin has closed the gap and Boqvist has regressed a bit

I haven't been able to watch a ton of games this year but I've been really impressed with what I've seen from a lot of these rookies, Kurashev and Lankinen especially as I wasn't expecting much from them.

Imagine finishing this year with 3 of the top 5 Calder candidates a year after you added Dach and Boqvist. Future is looking much less bleak.

Boqvist.
Yes. Obviously, it's way too early to say where he'll top out, but he should be an NHL player for a long time. In a season full of surprises, he's been one of the largest.

Hey guys just looking for your Expectations of Kurashev moving forward. Does he have top 6 upside?

Love the logo and met a ton of great fans when I was in Chicago years ago.

Cheers and thanks in advance!

Absolutely, yes. But not a lock. Top 9? Lock. Helluva 4th rounder!

Condolences on your owner.

With the likes of Wallmark, Carpenter, Murphy and Boqvist back the Hawks only dressed five rookies last night...totally a goal, an assist and ANOTHER win!

I think top 6 is most certainly attainable for Kurashev but he may be the major piece on a heck of a 3rd line if that is what the club chooses to do.

Lots of young guns coming into the picture now and soon...

Seeing the tweet about rookies scoring 16 goals so far, I wondered for a second what the record was for goals scored by rookies for a team.

Then I remembered Teemu existed.

top 9 lock but could easily be in the top 6 next year depending on what they do with a couple players...If they move Strome then Kurashev might be a nice 3C but if they keep him on the wing then he is a natural fit with Toews imo...Worst case he's playing wing on the 3rd line but he absolutely has top 6 upside in the long run

Assuming Toews/Dach return, the top 6 has already got Toews, Dach, Cat, Kane and Kubalik. Suter is up there now and looks pretty good. As you say lots more could be coming into the picture including Reichel or anybody from trade/FA/draft. It wouldn't be a knock on Kurashev if he couldn't crack that top 6.
