RS will be: 23 players on NHL roster, minimum 4 and maximum 6 on Taxi Squad. Minimum 3 goalies.

Players with COVID can immediately go on LTIR, but have to be out the # of games minimum (10+).

Players will be called up from TS to NHL. Assigned NHL to TS. Players called up from AHL have to "quarantine" IN TS and have negative tests before they can participate in practices, etc., and be called up to NHL.

Players assigned to TS ARE subject to waivers (if not exempt).

I think I read somewhere that training camps will be limited to around 36 players?
  • Forwards (23) - Couture, Kane, Meier, Hertl, Labanc, Donato, Sorensen, Noesen, Gambrell, Marleau, Nieto, Leonard, Bergmann, Händemark, Chmelevski, Gregor, True, Kellman, Blichfeld, Gabriel, Suomela, Letunov, Halbgewachs
  • Defensemen (9) - Karlsson, Burns, Vlasic, Simek, Ferraro, Merkley, Middleton, Pasuchnuk, Knyzhov
  • Goalies (4) - Jones, Dubnyk, Melnichuk, Korenar
There really isn't a lot of room for the juniors who have yet to play, especially since this already leaves out two players who appeared with the Sharks last year (Carrick and Yurtaikin), plus half a dozen other Barracuda players.
Considering the Goalies dont count toward the 36, likely they would want to bring in a few more defensemen (possibly equal it out to 24 forwards and 12 defensemen) to have balanced training camp scrimmages.

5 teams in on Haula right now. Not clear whos still in, but tons of teams talked to him this offseason(including the sharks as we know). I think its unlikely Doug is in right now but who knows

Checking the twitter world about the Haula rumors, it seems like the Haula agents just threw out "5 teams are interested" to try and start a nonexistant bidding war.

All that people are saying are "5 teams are interested" and "offers are below Haula camp expectations" which to me reads like "5 teams are offering 700k-1M for 1y and we are trying to generate more interest".

Interesting tidbit on Pagnottas site. Sharks not listed as interested under Haula, but they are under Granlund.

Excellent, we need Granlund a lot more than Haula. He's a very good top-6 playmaking RW...would fit in nicely with Meier and Couture. Not sure who'd play center between Donato and Nieto in this situation on that third line.

I very much disagree about needing Granlund more. We have wingers that could be passable with Timo/Couture. We have no one that is passable as a 3C.

We need top-6 talent first and foremost...right now, this team has 5 top-6 forwards (if you count Labanc and Donato each as 0.5 because neither is proven up there). That's a much bigger concern than what happens downstream on the 3rd line because of how much an impact the top 2 lines have vs. the 3rd line. In reality, I think this team needs both of these guys badly, but the #1 thing it needs is a top-6 forward.

Because I have nothing better to do. Recommends the sharks look into Ben Hutton or Slater Koekkoek. I do wonder what ever happened to doug saying they might look at a vet D.

I've been advocating for Slater Koekkoek this off-season. He'd be a great fit here. He's a damn good depth player to have.

Rutta is also gone, who had been considered a good target. Was a bit expensive.

Not in the NHL.

Center or not, I'd like to see DW use the 2+ million to sign an effective middle-six scoring forward. The Sharks are not going to have the high end skill, but if they can spread out their scoring the forward group might not be too horrible. Plus, if someone like Granlund can be signed for cheap he would be easy to move at the deadline for more picks.

Man I have not been plugged in lately. It was only like 2 years ago when Koekkoek was a bonafide bust.

Yes, for the Wild. In the NHL.

“To me, the No. 1 thing we have to do is get Granlund playing the way he’s capable of playing, because he’s sort of the straw that stirs the drink up front,” Boudreau said after a spirited practice Friday at TRIA Rink. “When he’s going, everybody else is going.”

To that end, Granlund was moved to center between wingers Charlie Coyle and Zach Parise, where he’ll play in a 1 p.m. puck drop against the Devils at Prudential Center on Saturday.

Wild hope move to center will spark Mikael Granlund

My bad he’s played a maximum of 5 games at C. He’s not a C.
