Who #6 for Finland?

Very impressed so far.

Great mobility, excellent poise with the puck. Good passer. Making smart decisions.

He's small but looks like one of those new age smaller puck moving D (Girard/Sandin type).

#8 for Finland best player on the ice

I'm assuming thats Lassi Thomson?

Him and Kim Nousiainen controlled the entire pace when they were on the ice.

His junior production is average at best to be fair, unless you're hyping more his checking role/defensive skills.
His got the size and good enough skating and appears to have some offensive upside also very competitive and hard working guy with decent hands aswell I think thats good package to become solid player down the line

I would like to go but just too much for me to go alone. So I will watch some on TSN and tape all of them to watch at my leisure.

All that sounds good but his production in the USHL was very poor and was jusr okay this past year in Finland juniors. Obviously stats aren't everything but you'd expect better production at those levels . He's on the National team for a reason though, so staff sees somethings that they like.

Puistola looks good so far today. It seems like every time I check to see a player's status, he's either a Cane pick, a Hawk pick, or a 2001 eligible. :biglaugh:

Other than Puistola, Salonen and Killinen Finland's wingers are awful. Hopefully they pick guys like Maccelli and Aaltonen to the showcase tournament.

They didn't. Only Mikko Petman made his way from the challenger team.

Really don't get this. Erholtz, Haatanen and Ranta were pretty much useless, aside from few shifts.

Puistola-Tanus-Salonen
Haatanen/Petman-Lundell-Oden
Ranta/Erholtz-Kivenmäki-Killinen
Siikanen-Saarela-Räty

Nousiainen-Thomson
Heinola-Honka
Salmela-Utunen
Laitamäki-Seppälä

Annunen
Patrikainen

Missing Kakko, Kupari, Kotkaniemi and Nordgren really shows on the attack. At least the defense looks pretty solid. Annunen needs to have a big tournament if they want to win any games.

Kokkonen got injured in the last minute vs Czechs. Hopefully nothing serious.
