I actually really like Cavani. It's easier for me to look past finishing issues from a striker if he contributes to the rest of the game.
In Cavani's case , he goes above and beyond what you could ever expect from a big time striker in terms of work rate. The guy is an animal , and plays with a rare energy/edge to his game. Even when he plays "badly" he still makes a positive impact with his selfless attitude and will to win. His movement/positioning is tremendous, as well.
He may not be the most gifted striker in the world , but he never shies away from a big game. Which certainly was an issue for his successor in Naples. I'm never worried about Cavani's mentality when the chips are down. Missing sitters or not , he's always ready to battle.
He's a total gamer and a good leader. There's not a lot of 9's I'd take over him.
