To be fair with the results, there are a TON of potential story lines right now. Only team I don't want to win is Boston.

Islanders - One season after losing their franchise player, win their first cup in 36 years
Washington - Labeled a "choker" the first 12 years of his career, Ovechkin and the Caps win their 2nd Stanley cup in franchise history and the last 4 cups have been won by this generations top talents
St.louis - First cup in the franchises 51 years, break the leagues longest cup drought at 50 years and leave the Leafs as the sole holder of that title
Columbus - First series won in franchise history, first cup in the same season would be insane
Dallas - First Cup in 20 years, and the man Ben Bishop with the Conn Symthe
Vegas - First season as a cup finalist, second season Cup win

At least we won a trophy this year, all the leafs got was a first round exit

Yeah but the DeadLeaves put a ton of money on Nylander who was a no-show again for the playoffs. Add in Tavares and now almost half their salary cap is tied up in 4 forwards. They are screwed.

And we could get a bunch of more trophies as well which will be awkward as ****. Wonder what they'll say in their speeches.
Hopefully this lady is available she can escort them to the stage.

What about the Sharks? Another choker label shaken off after the Caps and first cup for them.

The Sharks might just become the most undeserving game 7 winner in NHL history if they manage to score on this OT.

Vegas absolutely pummelled them 5 on 5. They have speed and size.

You give up 4 goals on one 5 min pp you don't deserve to win either IMO. I don't get the outrage over that call. Don't want that to happen? Don't crosscheck a dude right after losing a faceoff like a douchebag. Yeah they reffed the outcome more than the technicality, but don't take that stupid risk in the first place. It was 3-0! Why even give them life?

Yeah I get your point as well, you should not allow 4 SH goals in 5 minutes even if it was a shitty call. But there shouldn't have been a 5 minute PP in the first place. The fact is that Vegas would've most likely won if the right call (2 minutes or no penalty at all) was made. That to me feels more important.

Let's just say that I'm glad I'm not a Vegas fan right now.

5mins straight PP time for any top offensive team is death, their PK stunk but they completely neautralized the sharks for 42 minutes. Crazy how ones stupid play killed 2 periods of great hockey. If that's the play the sharks take into the next round they'll be out fast.

Gotta agree with JAM here, the guy makes a couple of great points and that just minutes after the game, respect. I like that he's speaking his mind and not just banalities and clichés.

Was hoping the sharks lose. Wouldn’t want Karlsson being too happy there. At least the leafs lost so the day isn’t that bad.

Agreed. A first round exit might have made E.K wanna leave. Itll be interesting to see how far they go now. Hoping E.K still isnt happy staying there for another 7 years
