If they hold this, Mitchy 4-Bags will be solely responsible for 2/3 of our wins on the season.

I mean, the pitching committee combining for two hits against in 8 innings (knock on wood it goes 9) are fairly responsible too. :)

This doesn't happen often - BOTH games in Chicago today are on FREE TV

As much as I love to skip out of work early and go to Opening Day, zero chance that's happening tomorrow given the weather report (low 40s and rainy - literally was supposed to be 60 and partly sunny according to the weather forecasts less than 48 hrs ago).

Good luck to all the greedy pigs still trying to get top dollar for seats ($800 face value for crappy 2nd row monster seats?).

The Rays are absolutely ridiculous right now. Have given up 20 runs in 11 games. The Sox have given up 72!

Gonna be chilly today, expecting Sale to hit 87 on the gun...

Some context would be nice, such as how many tickets sold ahead of opener last year. Not sure what they get for a walk up crowd. But ya, potential to get real ugly down there. Why support a local business who is abandoning you...I get it.

Are there actually MLB teams who don't have all their games televised? Happy to be in a one team city and not like Chicago, New York, LA.

Yikes, last night Camden Yards looked as empty as Bristol Motor Speedway.

Report: Attendance At Monday Night’s Orioles-Athletics Game Lowest In Camden Yards History

I can't even name who the best player is on the Orioles. In fact it's a struggle to name any player at all. Off the top of my head, I know Mancini and Davis.

Agree with Lou. And that's not to slight the Pats. But today should definitely be about the Sox. Honor the Pats a different day. Different story if the Sox were not coming off a championship.

I agree.

Have the Pats there this weekend. Going back into the recesses of my mind, I don't think that this has been done before?

Yes, but none of those other teams were also coming off a championship was my point. I have no problem with athletes from other teams showing up and being part of the festivities, but it seems strange to me to add the "Patriots" to the opening day festivities when they, themselves, are coming off a title.
