I am basically the only one who is vocally critical of him all the time, so I don't know who you think you are talking to And no, I didn't want Duchene either - if you'll recall (you won't), I thought we weren't ready to make a push yet and should wait for Frost et al to be ready. Also, I am always against UFA signings as long as we are drafting well.

I didn’t want either of them, nor JVR too. But oh well.

Friedman hasn't been shit on by a majority of the league while getting dragged around by some of the leagues best defenders nearly enough to be respected by his teammates and improve locker room culture the way Braun has

I don't understand why they'd move Ghost. To me, that's only if you absolutely have to.

1. Braun is UFA and won't be resigned.
2. Ghost at least provides you with options for the ED if you want to steer the Kraken towards that vs. some other player.
3. Ghost *is* an NHL defenseman. Period. We need an NHL defenseman.

The cap space can come by trading JVR. I like him, he's probably good for 25+ goals, but it's becoming harder and harder to see where he fits on this team, especially with younger, cheaper, and hungrier talent in the system.

Is the SCF over yet? There should be a simulate games option once your team is out.

I'd push to move JVR as well even if I have to over pay to move him. Personally I'd rather over pay to move JVR than move Ghost for a 2nd and cap relief.

amen brother. No team is as deep as the flyers when fully healthy and this is without Patrick. We can have the best 4th line in hockey in raffl-laughton-nak. AV's system would kill if we roll the correct lines. He loves to balance and roll 4 lines a lot and it could* work if we don't have holes..which we shouldn't unless we resign a ballsack

That's just not true. He's still got value. You just may not get a lot back necessarily.
