Am I the only one that does not like this pad set up? I'm all 4 dark pads, but there's just something about these that I don't like. I think there's not enough contrast. Maybe its also those ugly ass jerseys in combination.

The mask is dope though.

Since he's the goalie coach for the team, what his goalies wear is his business.

Now why he believes this leads to improved performance and if that rationale actually is backed up by data, who knows.

There are lots of people that believe that white goalie pads and gloves make it harder on shooters. Just as some shooters think that black tape makes it harder for goalies to pick up the puck.

I doubt that these theories will ever really have solid data to back them up or refute them.

Best masks I’ve seen so far was the gold Buffalo Sabres (Hutton?), MAF’s gold one (i like gold) and Hellebuyck’s. I bet if Matt Duchene was a goalie he’d have Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn and Blanco Brown on his.
