Yeah, because the guy who got the 3rd goal to take the lead on the pp has no part on this team. He had a good game, better than some of the passenger in this game.

He got his first point in 5 games.

Eight goals on the year...

I guess I just expect more for a cap hit of almost $6 million.

Eight goals on the year. If the Kings could dump him, they would. Problem is that his value is a fraction of what he is paid at this point.

Well, look at the famous 2003 draft now; only a handful are still playing decently - Fleury, Staal, Burns, Brown, Carter, Parise, Getzlaf, Suter....and that's about it. Bergeron from the second rd. Several have been done for a few years. All of these guys are 34-35 now.

We've turned into a really good team at blowing 2-0 leads. He'll, even the 4-0 lead against Vegas didn't feel safe.

and getting scored on after losing a faceoff. We must be in the solid double digits by now!

It’s a particular skill the Kings specialize in. Lose important draws, and give up goals directly as a result.

Forbort and Lewis cannot be re-signed. Rather risk “destroying” a rookie defenseman in the NHL than to watch Forbort play another season. How does Lewis shoot the puck at the goalie with his head up and no one between him and the goalie. Prohorkin, the one bright spot this season.

i love the guy but man his skating is sooooooooo bad sometimes
yup, but he is better than expected but I have said it all along.
Kubalik is twice as good.

I dont know anymore who said otherwise but he was dead wrong. Kubalik was always the better player and he is proving it.

Sol thought Kubalik was the second coming of Bud Holloway but he is wrong all the time, so that's not shocking. The fact he was constantly trolling without knowing a damn thing, is pissing me off though.

Thought they played well in the SOL. A lot better effort than last season, which is what I'm hoping to see this year.

* side note*
We should probably enjoy and appreciate watching AMart in a Kings uni the next little while. He's playing mostly solid and another team will desire that. It'll kind of suck seeing him in different colors, dude has represented LAK well. But it's business, hope the return is nice.

indeed

Remember, was he reportedly about to be traded to MTL before the injury

Are we still doing that? Expectations and such?

Agreed. If players like Brown, Quick and Carter didn't have the extra years tacked onto their contracts, their cap hits would have been higher in one or both Stanley Cup seasons and we wouldn't have been able to field the teams we did. If this is the price to pay for two Cups, so be it. We are actually fairly lucky in that our rebuild is making these cap hits almost irrelevant.

Today's fun fact: Between now and the end of the 2021-2022 season, we are in position to have about $30 million in salary/cap hit come off the books.

There is roughly a 0 percent chance he's traded to MTL, they have a whole 6 more points than the kings. They're not giving up picks at this point.
