i have literally never seen that in pro hockey. Shoot the faceoff in, I mean. Man, Subban gonna get run out of town in short order.

subban has the worst body language i've ever seen from a goalie next to mike smith

He's joining the all-diva team with Mike Smith, The Prince Lundqvist, and Petr "chalk outlines" Mrazek.

Maybe the Kings can bend over McPhee and trade Jack Campbell to Vegas. It’s like the Mathieu Garon effect where the Kings traded for a goalie who played well against them.

Kempe is on pace for 18 goals. Pretty solid.

First 17 games; 1 goal. Was not dressed that one game and since, has produced. Last 28 games has 9 goals; most of this icetime has been with Lizotte and Wagner.
Only 19 PIM. Stood up for a teammate and fought. Only 7 minor penalties. Remember when he had like 7 minors in 10 game stretches? He's pretty much stepped it up in all areas. He never takes a shift off.

Really liked Kempe-Amadio tonight..
would like to see Kempe-Amadio-Lizotte:thumbu:

Kempe is stepping it up!

Kings go 18-3-2 first-second-third period shots on goal. Imagine if they didn’t score 4 goals in the first. This would have looked like a 2018 playoff game, groce.

Not that the Knights haven't owned the flow of play against the Kings before, but the Kings scored 4 goals in the 1st, playing back to back, and 3rd in 4 nights. The Knights are better, but it's also possible the Kings said we have a 4 goal lead out of nowhere, and we're tired, we're just going to try and hang on for the rest of the game. Not a perfect strategy, because if Vegas does manage to get that 3rd goal, they're probably coming all the way back, but I could see the Kings taking a calculated risk given the situation.

Nice win.

A couple things I'm noticing.
1. The team looks like a team, compared to last season. Players seem to get along and actively root for each other. Which, for a close to last place team is encouraging. The room is healthy.
2. Lewis is pretty toast. Dude has giving everything and now his broken body is showing.
3. Brown is having a down year so far. The complaining by us about him is low, but he hasn't played well since October.

carry on.

Re: Brown I'm giving him a little bit of a pass given he just was released from the hospital with pneumonia and played 3 games in 4 nights. Can't imagine he looks normal for another couple of weeks. Though I agree his play dipped even before that, though it seems to coincide with the dates of his illness as reported by Dillman.

He was traded already after 17 games by the usual suspects around here.

Thank God, they are not running the show.

I agree, they look like a disaster waiting to happen.
