Maybe if #18 was worried less about the slash and more about defense he could have done something there.

Either way likely doesn't matter, nice patience by Kyrou.

I've always thought the "if they cared as much as we do" line was a lame excuse. They do care, very much. On a sheer numbers basis alone the US has the most hockey fans of any country on earth.. by a long shot actually. Maybe its just me but I have never understood this doom and gloom philosophy about Canadian hockey, we're producing many many talented players, we won World Junior gold in 2015 in utterly dominating fashion, we went back to the final in 2017 only to lose in a shootout. Remind me why we're worried?

If this was any other country they'd be on cloud 9 saying how bright their future is, us Canadians try to find the negatives.
Oh I agree. We’ll be the #1 for decades to go. But we should definitely look at the negatives. Because we’re flatlining while other countries are going up. We’re still way ahead but we need to talk about the negatives so that we can stay ahead for longer.
But if it’s not passion, population or money than what is it?

Literally just changed the channel to watch some of the Flames game and come back and Canada is up 5-1

I'm sorry we clearly just don't see eye to eye on this matter. Canada winning 2015 WJ Gold and now on the verge of going to the WJC Gold Medal game for 2 straight years (2017, 2018) doesn't come across as flatlining to me...at all.
