Maybe if #18 was worried less about the slash and more about defense he could have done something there.

On a sheer numbers basis alone the US has the most hockey fans of any country on earth.. by a long shot actually. Oh I agree. We’ll be the #1 for decades to go. But we should definitely look at the negatives. Because we’re flatlining while other countries are going up. We’re still way ahead but we need to talk about the negatives so that we can stay ahead for longer.
But if it’s not passion, population or money than what is it?
 
Literally just changed the channel to watch some of the Flames game and come back and Canada is up 5-1

I'm sorry we clearly just don't see eye to eye on this matter. Canada winning 2015 WJ Gold and now on the verge of going to the WJC Gold Medal game for 2 straight years (2017, 2018) doesn't come across as flatlining to me...at all.
