Sweden attempts to play defensive to protect the lead. They s**k at it. Cylinders start to misfire. The need to go 100 % offence to work given the current roster.

Nylander is where offense goes to die in this game... absolutely shrinking from the moment, not being patient. Kid needs to figure it out. Pettersson needs to keep the puck more and make some plays as well... there is open ice out there, these two should be able to find it.

Yes it surely is and very often punches above its weight. We can see this is not a Swedes day though.

But this is standard, we ususally suck when it matters the most. Had this been a prel round game we would have won by 5-1.

Eh, except for Moverare (OHL) all of the Swedish players play in superior professional leagues (AHL, SHL and Allsvenskan) than the top Slovakian league. Sweden should have been totally dominant.

No offence but it’s been quite a while since Slovakia was a great hockey nation. Their good players all got old and retired and they haven’t been producing much in the way of good prospects.
