Not sold on Tolvanen so far. He makes stupid plays and is extremely predictable. That last play before the buzzer was a good indication of his tournament so far: not even trying to shoot from a decent angle, instead keeps his sight focused on a Finnish d-man and passes the puck to him when there's something like 6 seconds on the clock. The play ends up in the boards and the Czechs have an easy time to run the clock out.
Guess we're watching different guys. He set up a linemate for a tap in that the guy couldn't bury. Should have been an assist right there.

Set up Vesalainen earlier in the period as well.

Actually, that's the third super chance he's given Vesalainen the past 2 games alone who hasn't finished on any of them.

I really don't get it - why are people complaining about Team Finland on here? They clearly outshot the Czech team 16:4 and dominated the first period of the game. The only weak point I see so far is scoring efficiency - but come on, you're complaining on a very high level!
Well, scoring efficiency is kind of a big deal in elimination games.

Great evaluation lol, he's been one of our better players. Shame that his linemates can't capitalize on his feeds.

Why does Pesan use Chytil on the second PP unit? Doesn't want to put all the eggs in one basket/wants to balance the offense? That would be my guess, since CZE has a bunch of amazing Top 6 players.

Took him forever to make that pass though, because he was watching the puck rather than how the play developed. I have seen him take a step or two past the d-man himself in those situations and take a shot instead. Don't know why he's so keen on passing instead of trying to create scoring chances for himself.

On a different argument, I'd love for Ahokas to put all of his eggs in 1 basket. Make Tolvanen - Räsänen - Heponiemi a line. Right now.

True. They are going to need to find a way to finish some of these opportunities. (No pun intended). The Czechs have shown they are more than capable of burying their chances.

What exactly was wrong with the pass? It was a free tap in, empty net.

Juolevi lucky not to get whistled for a call, then Hajek does on the next shift. Let's see if the Finns can do anything with this break.
