It's almost comical how much smaller we are at every position. OMG wait that's my favorite song what's the track called? It's the we ready soundtrack archie eversole where do you get the stadium version?

Reķis is such a disaster on ice though. Everytime he gets the puck its a turnover and when hes without it he gets a penalty.

Alpo Suhonen's theory was that if he made a team of only players he could control his little quarrels with he'd have the best team. So bye bye Matthias Trattnig, Thomas Koch, Oliver Setzinger, Daniel Welser, Andre Lakos, Matthias Lange, players who could still all play but won't. Then Austria's performance suddenly tanked...and people blame it on the legios.

I love the skill of Dzierkals. Nice to see him being able to outskate and outcompete almost every other player on the ice.

Same with Abols. I don't think he's going to spend a whole lot of time in the WHL and it would serve no purpose at this point anyway. He should be playing against pros.

On the other hand I'm seeing Girgensons on the 2nd PP unit again. What the ****? He obviously has no chemistry with Bukarts. He's got no playmaking skills either. Those hands are so wooden you could supply IKEA for at least a month. Just drop him to the Dzierkals/Kenins line.

Unless Denmark start producing some more high end prospects, this I say, was our last chance to qualify in a loooooong time.
Are you kidding? You're not nearly that old.

Before this past WC Denmark never played good players at the WC together. It's a short time but for chemistry it matters. Nielsen was notorious for not participating in WC (not all his fault, playoffs, etc), but other players younger than him are more willing and they'll play more and more together over the years.

Just goes too show how important preparation and chemistry is..

Denmark lacking both.. really shows, no doubt Denmark are the more talented team...
No doubt that individually Denmark is more talented, Ehlers skating circles around Belarus defense. But hockey is a team sport and as a team Belarus totally controls the game. They're more prepared, more organized, they've got huge advantage in coaching. Dave Lewis is a magician to make that team play like that.
10 minutes to play though, miracles happen.
BTW the 2 interference calls against Belarus in the 2nd were a gift to Danes from the refs.

Totally agree on most of what you write...

Im a sad panda..

4-1...

tv goes off... time for a few beers....

Denmark come out like thunder, and were atill the better team at 2-1. that seemed to deflate them completely. Belarus dominating this period...

Andersen looking rusty as **** though...

Just awful D by the Danes.

ETA:
Just awful everything by the Danes.
Barely resembles a hockey team.

4:1 Belarus. Captain Stas. That's another miracle. Playing without their 2 best centers Kalyuzhny and Grabovsky and best defenseman Denisov.

No, but a few of the big ones like Hansen, Regin and Nielsen will be over the hill imo.

Im just really depressed right now, this performance has been so lackluster... so ****ing dissapointed...
Hansen is very very replaceable. Regin and Nielsen will be harder but there are so many kids coming up I don't know what you're worried about.
