Sixto is now broken

Elbow inflammation. Saw something that he never threw more than 80 pitches in a game before this year and he's already done that 5 times with one game over 100

That grand slam by Heyward was the Soul Stealer. It might get ugly in the next few months.

The June schedule is brutal and with them not hitting and it was unlikely that the pitching was going to be so good all year. That said hopefully they can win the Machado sweepstakes in the off-season, the young players gain experience and show good things and some guys they have in the minors get a look to see what they have.

no, he brings much needed experience and leadership as a vet on a very young team. If they start hitting better, they should hopefully be around a .500 team. They are taking the next step from a rebuilding team to one that is trying to win. They don't need to be trading for prospects when they have too many as is, with the rule 5 and all. They need to be trading some prospects in a quantity vs quality type of deal.

They have some very interesting young arms in the system that hopefully aren't too far away. They need some help and they need their young guys like Hoskins, Kingery, Crawford, Knapp, Williams to hit better. If they could pull off a trade for Machado that doesn't cost you top prospects/youth, you could send someone down. Maybe get a vet backup like they did with AJ Ellis so Knapp can get some games in to see if he can get going.

With the money they have and at least so far it's looking like a great FA class in the off-season, they should try and win as many games and if they really fall out of it maybe trade some lesser guys like Nerris or Hunter and insert more youth to see what you have before you need to make decisions for the rule 5. Plus trading for prospects is baseball is such a crapshoot.

is it me or has the pitching development in our minor league and major league team stink.

why can't we develop pitching like the cards or braves and have a decent rotation.

Then the free agents we do sign are like what you get when you get to a buffet at night and only see sloppy 2nds.

How does the pitching stink when they are doing much better then the hitters on this team? Nola, Pivetta, Dominguez, Arano, Ramos, plus you have some very interesting arms on the farm like Sixto, Irving, Medina, Kilome, Edgar Garcia, Howard, Stewart, Morales, Mezquita, Suarez, Lindow, Silva, etc...

Lakewood, LV are tops in their leagues in pitching. The question is where are the hitters? Kingery, Hoskins, Williams, Knapp, Franco, all struggling. Walding, Cozens, Valentin come up and can't hit a lick. Not much hitting on the farm either. 3 first round picks and one is doing terrible in AA in Randolph, the other 2 have had their ups and downs in Clearwater in Haseley who is really heating up but not much power or walks and Moniak who also started to heat up but even less power and walks.

apparently bohm signed for 1 mill under slot. Also we have signed a decent amount of hs guys and we still have quite a bit of cash to spend on Pipkin and Cotto

Cotto isn't going to cost much. Pipkin will. Simmons too probably but he already signed.
