If he doesn't improve his skating, he's a borderline NHLer. There is a certain level of risk there. Those that say he's fast and doesn't have skating issues are in denial.I've come to the point where I'd be a tad disappointed with anyone else but Kotkaniemi. Get the guy a skating technique coach to improve on his stride and hope for the best, 'cause the rest of his game I don't have a single hint of concern about.
No love for Hugues , huh? If they really want speed and skill, he's up there near the top. Imagine him paired with Weber for a minute.Going off what Timmins said and Bergevin's preferences, I have the same feeling. IMO they have Kotkaniemi, Tkachuk, Dobson, Zadina in that order. Wouldn't be surprised if they have Dobson higher than Tkachuk too.
thats a very good list, easily one of the best I saw on HF, good job!For my top 93, I decided to do things a bit differently. A cursory glance will show that I didn't include several big names. I don't necessarily have this players are no drafts, only I'm far lower on them than the rest of the world. If I'm too much lower on a player than the rest of the world, I just cut them from the list. Essentially, I'm just not willing to pay the price to get them. The first list contains only first year eligibles, and no goalies. The second list contains only draft re-entries. The third list contains the most loathsome position, goaltenders, one of whom is a re-entry.
Couple notes: David Gustafsson fell quite a bit from where I had him all season. I decided to put him as low as possible while still being ahead of the highest ranking of whom I am aware. Between the ears, he is a first round talent. But let's get the best price for him. O'Brien vs Morozov: this is one of those situations where I want both, so I adjusted my ranking to reflect the reality of where you will be able to pick these players. How to mix the lists? Up to you, but I feel pretty strongly about my rankings until the 50's. After that point you can take what you want from any of them.

I imagine Buffalo is asking for 3 and we're countering with Pacioretty. Buffalo I think would like a Pacioretty, they need a high character vet winger who can do it all and score in bunches.Yeah, because Patches equals the 3rdOA pick. If that's on the table, easy, Patches for ROR. Done. Move on.
I think it's down to Kotkaniemi or Zadina, and I think the selection will be determined by what we do with Pacioretty.
If we trade Pacioretty we'll have zero snipers. That should have 0 bearing on anything.. if it does they are even bigger idiots
If we trade Pacioretty we'll have zero snipers.
View attachment 126021 When you're talking to a dummy and know you won't have to deal with him anymore.
Wilde is a doughnut though, so who knows. 3rd overall would be AWFUL. Pacioretty would be ROBBERY.
We are in tank mode......If we trade Pacioretty we'll have zero snipers.

Never trust comments made by scouts on draft eligible players leading into the draft. Hockey 101.Timmins said that he doesn’t think could defend in the nhl

You forgot the case - not box but case - of Kleenex for when MB breaks your heart.
Ah! Concise & elegant. That's what the beer is there for -- to get smashed or cry in it -- it's a dual purpose thing.
IE Zadina. LOLSo? You don't draft for immediate needs.. you draft for the best player.
?Bouchard as their top defenseman of this class is making me nervous.
Bouchard as their top defenseman of this class is making me nervous.
From the MAG report. Well, technically tied second but who still counts Dahlin anymore.
I’ll post this here too..
MAG has a new article up on The Athletic discussing buzz as to who the Habs have in mind for their selection.
They have it listed as followed:
Kotkaniemi - 55%
Tkachuk - 20%
Zadina - 14%
Dobson - 5%
Bouchard - 4%
Hughes - 2%
Dobson and Bouchard are “practically neck and neck” in the estimation of the Habs scouting staff, according to people MAG talked to.
Thats still just your opinion.IE Zadina. LOL
