Love the hommage, but I need to keep reminding myself that those who paint masks for a living are, in the most part, artists and not graphic designers, because BOY are those masks busy. Nothing wrong with that; just helps me keep expectations in check. Not in terms of quality, but in terms of visual style.
What you might lose in consistency, structure and balance, you gain in visual flair. And for most clients, more = better. Although there are ways to have a lot of stuff going on, without it looking too busy. It's a fine line to walk on.
