Those are awesome. Calgary seems to get a lot of goalies with style. It’s nice to see something other than generic white pads with a daveart mask

Generally, yes! I think it is one of the reasons Fleury who used to use yellow pads, switched to white and his play did improve, whether or not it was the colour is up to opinion though, I suppose. Coloured pads do show the open shooting spots better than when facing all white/mostly white gear.

his new one is probably still being tweaked

Man this is slightly sad for me to look at as a Canes fan, but that mask is sick!

So weird not to see Blackbeard on his mask after all of these years.

Interesting that he finally ditched the pirate. Ofcourse he once had Nickelback on his mask so anything is an improvement from there.

Blackbeard was his thing here given Blackbeard's connections to North Carolina. From what I remember, Ward found that pretty cool and kept it as his trademark mask element once he found out about it.
