Yeah. That’s the worst thing you want to say to someone who’s upset. My wife hates it when I tell her to relax.

He's never been a flashy prospect in the traditional sense. It's not until you look at the stat sheet at the end of the day that you do the double take. Goes back to the draft threads about Strome. In typical Syon Strome fashion, he closed out the preseason with 5gp 4pts +3 and 54% FOs without anyone noticing. If a fortune teller told us this stat line a month ago, we'd all be thrilled. And yet as Strome does, I barely noticed it.
If he ever does hit his absolute upside, I promise we will see threads on the main forum like "Is Dylan Strome the Worst PPG Player in History?"
He had a plus FO%? It seemed like whenever I checked the preseason box scores, he had more losses than wins. Well, good then.

Lol he had 4 points? He's like a stealth bomber, no one sees him do it, shit just starts blowing up.In typical Syon Strome fashion, he closed out the preseason with 5gp 4pts +3 and 54% FOs without anyone noticing. You have been telling us that for years. I did not see much of the preseason but what I saw Strome's skating has improved dramatically, or he is finally moving his feet all the time and not just coasting. He is also using his body much more.

Numbers may dip. He may be stuck behind some more talented forwards this year, could be a 3rd liner with little PP time this year. He'll also likely be leaned on heavily to kill penalties. I don't think he'll dry up offensively completely though, I doubt our 3rd line is used in a traditional manner. He's also got to be good for some points off the PK.Hello. Which line is Tobias Reider likely to end up on? What kind of minutes and point production do you guys expect for Reider with all the possible roster changes this season? Thanks

Not sure how healthy the guy is. He's a speedster and an injury like that isn't easy to overcome. If he's 100% then he might be Arizona's best winger for another season. He played the last preseason game with Dvorak and Duclair. I'm not convinced Keller and Duclair will get consistent top6 minutes so Rieder should mostly play top6 with Dvorak or Stepan and probably linemates like Perlini, Domi or Fischer.
He'll probably be the go to guy again, maybe together with Domi. I expect the two to play heavy minutes. Points depend on team success and PP minutes. I think Rieder should get more offensive zone starts and more PP-time. He was one of the most effective forwards last season and he's one of the few vets on the team. Not sure the coaches feel the same. The team lacks reliable forwards and PK specialists which could be a problem and force Rieder to do stuff he shouldn't need to do once again.

I was ready to move on from Reider for my pool but you've drawn me back in. Thanks
