3rd behind Makar and Heiskanen. Maybe 4th behind Pettersson. Guess we'll see how they all play the rest of their career.

Definetly no clear cut answers here. Most likely somewhere between 4 and 10. Makar, Heiskanen, Peterson still go ahead. He is in the next very close group of Suzuki, Hischier, Roberston, Batherson, Norris, Thomas, Oettinger and even maybe Vilardi and Necas by the end of the season.

He is safely top-10 but I would put him outside the top-5 for sure.

Makar is the unanimous #1. You can make a case for any number of Robertson, Hischier, Hieskanen, Petterssen, Thomas, and Batherson being better. I would bet Necas enters that conversation real soon as well.

Goalies are weird and taking one top-10 would take a real pair of stones, but with the benefit of hindsight I'd definitely take Oettinger knowing what I know.

Any place between 4-10 is reasonable, personally I'd probably have him somewhere in the 6-8 range right now.

I think from 3 to 9, it gets super hard to rank.

I rank Suzuki higher as it really is incredible what he has done so far. He's been exceptional at both ends of the ice, has stepped up big time in the playoffs, has great leadership skills and he's done this while starting the league with Julien/Ducharme as his coaches.

1 - Makar
2 - Heiskanen
3 - Petterson
4 - Suzuki
5 - Robertson
6 - Batherson
7 - Hischier
8 - Thomas
9 - Oettinger
10- Necas

Makar and Heiskanen go 1 and 2, in that order, obviously

Petterson and Suzuki go 3 and 4 in I don't know what order, I'd still take Suzuki for leadership but I'm biased

Robertson and Thomas go 5 and 6

Batherson, Norris, Necas, Oettinger, Hischier go after in whatever order

Hard to say most of those guys are still fresh.

Couple of guys are close to each others. Only thing i'm sure is i'd take Makar 1st overall there.s 0 doubt about this one. Suzuki, Robertson, Petterson, Hischier and Thomas all have about the same production the last two years and since i did not watch many games last year i've not seen them much recently. Even Necas he's been sheltered a lot in a good team but he's very skilled. It was a good draft and poor Flyers totally missed the boat.

I have him at #8, but 5-8 are pretty close

1. Cale Makar

2. Elias Petterson
3. Jason Robertson
4. Robert Thomas

5. Drake Batherson
6. Nico Hischier
7. Miro Heiskenen
8. Nick Suzuki

If Suzuki progresses and some of the others don't break 1.0 ppg, Nick might end up one day being considered as high as 2nd or 3rd. But I want to see an 80 point season from him first.

If you were to do this on the main board he would probably end up around 7,8,9 but I think with time people will come to realize he is a top 5. He’s been put in a much worse position than the rest of the competition basically carrying our team without much help until Caufield showed up. Almost every one of these guys have been insulated with superstar or at least star players on their team to take matchups. And Suzuki is going to be a selke competitor.

Suzuki is far more rounded than Pettersson and his offensive production isn’t far off at all despite playing with mediocre wingers before CC showed up. He has to easily be ahead of Pettersson at this point.

Ya I think 3rd or 4th depending on if one thinks Pettersson will stay healthy and reach that superstar status. Personally I’d take Nick though.
I think Pettersson has shown a higher level so far. That being said, I think Suzuki is a slower developer and deeper skill set. If he keeps progressing he may not just be a better all around player but possibly a higher skill player.

Pettersson over Suzuki? Why? In what world?

Higher level of what? Not the center position that’s for sure.

i find it odd the love Petterson gets, he's a total dud away from the puck, and I would take Suzuki 10/10 every day of the week.
