Near .50ppg in his draft year in a top men's league is production.

Two points less than former Ranger and 33 year old Erik Christensen.

I don't think you really get that his scoring in Sweden was solid.

Nick Backstrom had 26 in 46

It's all seniority in Swedish mens leagues.

He just put up 19 in 42 in Sweden.

If he's in the NHL anytime soon, it's as a 4th liner.

Yeah that's a pretty good indicator of where he's at in his development, oh wait no it isn't. Please forgive me if I don't care what the master of the hot takes opinion is.

So a retiring scout with really nothing to lose if he's wrong has enough sway that he dictates the direction of the franchise's highest pick in years. I'm on board with this strategy...

Bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for 'em.

So we trusted our future, our first top ten pick since when? With a scout that is retiring.

Good Lord this organization is a joke

my thoughts exactly. its as if he was picked only as a gracious gesture to retiring scout, otherwise, he wouldn't have been picked. NYR front office just being classy with an early retirement gift. :handclap:

He's played 64 pro games in Sweden and he has 19 points.

What are you talking about?
