I know nothing about these players so I have no right to feel anything, and I love swedish guys, but this doesn't feel good. The Rangers management seemingly doesn't understand how to trade down and maximize assets, and they also seem to have no interest in anything but "safe" players. It's why they are always good but not great.

You don't trade a #1 Center for the 7OA and pick a safe value pick. You look for a player who can be a top player in the NHL.

From what everyone says, this guy is a smart utility player. His upside is not astronomical.

I don't understand why they didn't trade down. They should never pick in the top 10 again.
