Another article from Malmo, here.

What I understood via google
- impression is that players were "uninterested" (a journalist does not blame them)
- attendance was not good
- CHL has no financial benefit for clubs
- CHL CEO Baumann was at arena
- SHL games more important for a club (Malmo in this case)

Its just 1 guys opinion. Its pretty common that journalists in sweden question CHL. Its pretty hard to play your best when you're playing in a empty arena. SHL clubs are losing money on it and thats a big problem

Elisabeth Lindbäck, also from Malmo, wrote something similar, here.

I know about it. The question is why? Is it about "unique" Swedish hockey? About mentality of Swedes (local derby more important)? Or about lack of money in CHL? And if there were billions eur in CHL, would SWE media change their opinion?

Btw, do Swedish media have negative opinion about Östersund playing UEFA Europa League?

Agree. I do not blame players. As Jablkon said, it is dangerous if media speaking about "uninterested players". Dangerous for the competition & its future.

Agree, a big problem (not only for Swedish clubs).

Where did I said that?

You said something like "players say to media that opponent does not play for 100%" Of course, such words are not good/not welcomed or dangerous for the league´s image.

Now Malmo´s journalists wrote about "uninterested" guys.

If such words/statements are good for CHL´s future, then I am wrong of course.

YOu are just not able to read out different consequences and sentence meanings. I would never say that its dangerous for anybody when journalist wrote about players who looks uninterested. I fully respect journalists freedom to write whatever they want. I said before that I am bothered by that playeers statements because I supposed them to all built smth, same goes for posters here who probably didnt even watch these games. Journalists are here to evaluate and describe smth. Sure they use their natural sense so they dont ruin you immediately when they know you building smth which is fragile. This thing turned out after that story with Hradec Kralove and needs to be questioned.

Its not for the first time you putting smth to my mouth or you twist meanings of arguments. So again learn how to work with facts and how to use logic or I would have to report you next time.

Thing is, journalists see that the clubs are having problems filling the arenas, they fuel this further by saying that no one cares about CHL. They're not helping anyone with statements like these. It only makes the general public less interested in CHL games

That is a consequence which Jablkon does not understand or does not understand what I said.

On the other hand they gave them 3 years trial. It also seems like a lot of teams are sending B squads there so maybe its time to open this discussion. Reasons of low interest obviously varies by regions. Czechs were harmed by that statement and poor rosters. Once teams start sending B teams attendence dropped here. British team effort was also undermined by that claim taht other clubs in group didnt give a......

I guess its even harder fo swedish fans to find way to stadium when their team should face somebody who is weaker and even doesnt show full motivation. Its hard for ordinary fan to find out which team puts 100 percent into it and which not. It looks like teams started to undermine this league. Attract swedish fans in this situation would be miracle imo.

I guess all the clubs should make some statement bfore the next season to prove fans they take it seriously and to regain credibility. This year is massive step back due to attitude of some teams. System is good though. That CHL CEO should reavaluate his behaviour as well because his haughty preseason tone looks it didnt really help to anything.

It has potential but it's probably gonna take some time to get there.

Plus I think it need some modifications. More Swedish, Finnish, Swiss teams etc. No one cares for the british and french teams for example that our j20 teams could beat. Tradition(atleast for swedes) is important. And a good start would be traditional hockey countries to lure some interest.

Brynas - Manheim....that hit on Paille after manheim had lost the game was on of the worst I have seen in a long time in Europe...

Yeah was just gonna edit my post above about it. Too many scrub teams in this competition who plays that way.

IIHF needs to step in and ban his ass for a long long time. No way he should play hockey anywhere at any level in the foreseeable future after that.

Yeah, let's have eight teams from both the SHL and Liiga, that'll be fun (not). Not sure why would that increase the interest in these countries either as qualification for the tournament would become more of an automation instead of an accomplishment. It's not exactly exorbitant that the champions of the UK, France and Denmark qualify for this competition even if they are weaker than the bottom teams of Europe's top leagues.

I think the SHL and Liiga should just opt out of the CHL.

Frölunda and Tappara out, what now?
So Lakers are the strongest swedish team now? :DI would recommend you Liberec again. Having to admitt I am becomming small fan of Frolunda. This team makes this tourney.Always fun to watch especially when they have opponent which can compete.

Let's. And while we're at it let's also decrease the amount of teams in the tournament. Finnish and Swiss teams are atleast somewhat interesting to play. Those countries and a couple from maybe Czech and Austria and we're good to go.

Tappara the best finnish club in the last 2 years fails twice in follows in CHL vs weaker Liiga Rivals. Ridiculous!
Than the organizers of CHL are incompetent. CHL schedule just in the same week where takes the Karjala-Cup and Deutschland-Cup.
Crazy ;)!
