This is tough, we were a feather from scoring but no way...........now a Yank pp.

It's up to Maschmeyer and our internal fortitude.

Wish the Oilers played with half as much ****ing heart as these women are playing with for both teams

I think I would rather lose that way then go to that ******** shootout.

Sometimes you must deal with losing.

Good game U.S.A........well deserved.

Wow. What a game. These two country's women just keep getting more and more talented.

Agreed.

Some of the best hockey I've seen have been the 2016 WWC, 2014 Sochi, and 2010 Vancouver. Men or women. These games are always crazy exciting and have me on the edge of my seat, these girls play with so much heart and desire to win it's awesome.

God, that was hard to stomach.

But it could have been worse, you never know when Dick Enberg will be finishing off the game and telling us how "beautiful" so and so is as the curtain comes down.

Watched pretty much every game. TSN did a fantastic job. Great tournament. Loved Maschmeyer but thought Räisänen should have been given top goalie honours. Disappointed Tapani didn't show for the Finns. She could have made the semis a little more interesting.

Raisanen did make the All-Star team though. Even Noora Raty said that Maschmeyer was the top goalie of the tournament. I have a hard time arguing with her.

I don't mind this pattern with us losing at the Worlds, and winning at the Olympics. This group looked good, might be one or two additions next year, and they'll definitely be a stronger team come time for Olympic prep.

Fair enough. I didn't see much of the other group but Grahn seemed unbeatable until the quarters. Schelling posted a 0.931 save percentage allowing just four even strength goals in five starts playing behind Switzerland. Lots of great goaltending in women's hockey. And to think, Räty and Szabados didn't play.
