This is strong roster with players that are top players on Medvescak in junior EBEL, or at least very good complementary one's, and everything but saving status in this group would be major failure.

Very competitive group for a lower tier group.the Hungarians , Koreans and Croats making huge strides last few years In youth development.lot of parity between top 14-25 world under 20 teams.

Bolded is such lie, it is not even funny...:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Hungary was surprisingly relegated last year at home. Any result other than promotion would be considered a major disappointment.

There is not what Hungarians cede Lithuania finished second and third in Korea descent will fight Croats Estonians holand person I thinks descent Estonia.sorry I do not speak English :D

Ivan Puzić (1996.,HC Vitkovice/Sumprek) will make his debut for Croatian NT at this tournament. He left Croatia in age of 15 for Vitkovice youth team and already last year played few minutes in CHL game between Vitkovice and Ingolstadt. He is the closest we have to Rendulić when it comes to our senior defenders in future (excluding cronucks such as Martinovic and Sertich).

Matija milicic should have a good tourney.

Not just him, I expect Jarčov, Platužić and Gjoni to produce on regular basis. Few weeks ago I spoke with our coach and he said that Hungary is class for itself, but other five teams are more or less equal, maybe Lithuania little better than other four teams.

Croatia leading Holland 5-2 with a minute left.

Shots

Croatia 38
Holland 29

Routine victory for us, much easier than I expected. Now we have to beat Estonia and we won't have any worries about staying in this group. Jarčov with two SH goals.

This is the worst I have seen Netherlands junior team play.. It's incredible how badly their hockey has regressed in recent years.

Croatian youth teams will be even worse when players born in 99. and later comes in.

Regarding Netherlands, it really is depressing how much they have fallen, especially for a country where they dominate an ice sport (speed skating). Its not the lack of direction or talent the country's hockey organization is contributing to, its the lack of passion and that "don't care" attitude which is the most scary and saddest form with their fall. It makes sense why Sprong didn't choose them, but its also horrible luck that he had zero desire to make his country better.

I must admit I am rather impressed how much fans a junior tournament is able to generate in Lithuania. Watching them play Korea and a really good crowd is on hand for this game.

Yeah, Lithuanians are hungry for ice hockey since we basically have none, I'm taking a short 50 km trip to see tomorrow's games myself. Tickets are pretty cheap too.

In before all those "Lithuania is a good place for a KHL team hype" people, I don't think such interest is sustainable throughout a longer period of time.

I think a lot of people don't realize that hockey in Lithuania (as well as Estonia) is more or less just as popular as in, say, Denmark or Belarus.

If they had more ice rinks, over the long term they could easily have decent national teams entirely made up of pro players. It's just that they've been suffering from a lack of investment for a number of years.

Hockey really is a highly investment-intensive sport, and a bit of money can go a long way. As their economies are growing, hopefully more people can afford to send their kids to hockey and there's more public money to go around, etc.
