When you guys mention transfer rumors, I assume they are truthful. When I mention them, I make sure they aren't just random internet rumors, and actually have some source with some type of reputation towards breaking news.
That was my point though. A sizable club is Schalke. There are potentially better options, but a club where he's going to get the minutes isn't going to be that big as they likely have his position covered.

Looks like Marcos Alonso is heading to Chelsea for £23M.
I would've thought for that price they would get a better player. Alonso is good, but nothing special. I would have given Baba another chance instead.

Baba doesn't fit with Conte, he's too attack minded and not good enough defensively. If Alonso can play solid defensively, in a similar way, but not as good as Azpilicueta, then it's a great move. He also adds some versatility.
At this point Chelsea just needs to pay a little extra to ensure we land our targets. Even if Alonso is a slight overpayment in the end, it's still a good buy.

Not sure what to think of all the James Rodriguez to Chelsea talk. Part of me sees it as the typical glamorous Chelsea rumor, but it does kind of make sense for Real to just move one from him and for James to move on from Real. For Chelsea, there is no denying James' talent, but is he a true fit? He definitely prefers to play as a 10, but he'd like be a RW.
Chelsea looks to have an interesting ending to the market with guys like Marcos Alonso, any of the CB's, Fabregas, Cuadrado, Brozovic, and James.

That's where he said Hazard would end up playing in that formation, and we don't have the defensive back 3 to make it work anyway.
If we have Hazard and James, they'd play LW and RW in a 4-3-3. I think he wants to have enough creative starters to sell Fabregas and bring in someone like Brozovic who has some creativity, but also has the workrate and defensive ability to be a true b2b.
If Conte wants to play the 4-3-3 and the 4-2-4 this season, then the 4-2-4 would be insanely dangerous if we landed James.

According to Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella, a €25 million bid from Chelsea for the Croatian midfielder has been accepted by the Italian club.
This definitely ends the time of Cuadrado, as Brozovic can play wide right as well. Should be interesting to see how Conte setups up his midfield 3 as well.

I hope it allows for a Brozovic-Kante-Fabregas midfield. Brozovic is the type of player that I imagined to allow Fabregas to fit in. He has some athletic ability and will press, but he's also good on the ball and good defensively. Might not be as good currently as a Matic or Oscar when they are on, but he offers a more complete version of both of them meaning Fabregas will have more freedom to do what he does.
Now lets get some defenders and throw money at James and see what Real says. If we just get defenders, then we should be top 4 this season.
