Yeah...I'm a big fan of Dineen. He's definitely one of the guys I'd be very happy with in the second. I like the Mete and Girard as well but Dineen really feels like one of those guys we'll look back and wonder why he wasn't a first rounder.

Seeing him mocked late 1st now quite a bit... :(

A few guys I liked rose a lot over the last few months: Jost, Brown, Dineen

I would be all for taking a center prospect at 16 and a defensive prospect at 46, and vice versa; either of Rubtsov or Fabbro at 16 are particularly appealing, and Frederic Allard or Sokolov at 46 would also be nice.

I have a feeling that Allard will be a player that people look back to this draft and wonder why he slipped to where he was drafted. Good frame, skill and IQ, with a very high ceiling.

Either way, it would be nice to come away with a center and defenseman from the first two rounds, preferably the best possible player at that position.

I'm not sure whether he projects to be more of a center or a Winger, but Bellows may be a solid choice as well; his style of play and skill is intriguing, and his stats put him in good company with names like Phil Kessel.

I am not sure that it should change your feelings about the player, but Sokolov spent the vast majority of the season playing wing, not center.

I share your bullishness about Allard. I think he is dynamite with the puck on his stick and plays a pretty simple, mature game. I wish he skated a bit better, but if he did, we wouldn't be talking about him as a 2nd-3rd rounder.

Bellows is most certainly a wing at this point.

Krys's draft stock seems to have really plummeted. Wonder if he could be an option in later rounds now.

Difference between Ouellet and Allard? Latter is more physical, that's it?

Allard is a little longer and has more pure skill with the puck than XO and a better shot. From a technical perspective, XO was probably a little better skater at the same age, but not by much. Allard is still a project but has some very nice tools for sure.

Doubt Lou moves the 3rd for this year, Still thinking it will be the 2017 3rd rounder. But we shall see.

Yeah, I think they give the Wings their 2017 pick and NJ their 2018 3rd rounder. The 2016 draft does not appear to have much good depth outside of the first round. I don't know how the 2017 class is shaping up in that regard.

It is good to know that the pick cannot be worse than Toronto's own pick for the year. I thought that they might try to use NJ's 2016 3rd rounder (acquired from Pitt) to satisfy one of those two liabilities.

Man Charlie McAvoy would be sweet i see where they're comparing him to a Barrie or Shattenkirk type i don't see him falling to us but it would be sweet. Sounding like possibly either Bean or Fabbro would be the more realistic possibilities for us.
