With a couple of breaks the Wings could have beaten the Leafs tonight . They should be able to give Ottawa competitive games in the two games they have against them .

The fact that the Maple Leafs could barely hold a two goal lead against the Red Wings with a minute left makes me feel pretty good about things going forward.

If both the Leafs and we pass Ottawa and we get Leafs first round and they have home ice advantage, that would be something. A game 7 repeat would be nice, though a sweep wouldn't be too bad either

Mathematically they are alive but they need to go 5-0 and hope Boston, Toronto, Ottawa collapse and Tampa to play bad as well to make the playoffs
