2-0 count, nobody out, bases loaded, heart of the order up and all we can muster is one lousy run.

Yes we tied it up but we have to take better advantage there and break the game wide open.

Bases loaded with none out and the heart of the order up we should not have finished with a sac fly and nothing else. That's a greatly wasted opportunity

I don't think EE tried to hit that for a home run.

I meant more Bautista and Donaldson, both hacking with 2 strikes rather then shortening up the swing. Jose especially looked stupid swinging so hard at what was likely to be a splitter.

Donaldson didn't hack with 2 strikes. He had a pitch to hit on a 2-0 count.

JD hacking with 2 strikes? It was a 2-0 count

This is a point in the game where Revere has to bunt to get Goins to scoring position with the top of the order up. #BlueJays

Good thing Gibbons isn't Richard Griffin either.

Griffin says a lot of dumb things. Enough that he caught the attention of Fire Joe Morgan back when they were active:

http://www.firejoemorgan.com/search/label/richard griffin

There are some absolute gems in there, including:

1) Wins are the most important way to evaluate a pitcher
2) Using stats to put forth an argument about offensive effectiveness is a loser move because you're forgetting the players are people....somehow.
3) Moneyball is about drafting college players, getting on base, and not bunting. And it caused the PED boom.
4) Moneyball caused Oakland to play in empty stadiums because Beane ruthlessly traded all the popular players because a computer told him to.
5) "non-traditional GMs" (whatever that means) are ruining baseball and the winter meetings
6) Frank Thomas had the potential to be a clubhouse-dividing cancer who hurt the team on the field too because he couldn't run the bases. Instead the Jays should've pursued a better corner infielder for the roster like, get this, Shea Hillenbrand (and this was said after Hillenbrand's infamous end to his Blue Jay career)
7) Ken Macha was a poor victim of heartless Billy Beane's Moneyball dictatorship and he would surely go on to get another managerial job and win a World Series before Oakland ever did (Macha managed the Brewers for 2 seasons after his firing, sucked, and hasn't been seen again)
8) Derek Jeter is practically Jesus.
9) Moneyball is evil.
